Tropical plants are maintained in two glass greenhouses called the Sydney Tropical Centre.

The 30 hectare Royal Botanic Garden is situated just east of Sydney's Central Business District. It is a short walk from the Sydney Opera House.
Visitors with mobility issues and young children can tour the park on a miniature train called the "Choo Choo Express".
